Continuing with my epic battle with sickness I’ve started watching more of the new seasons of anime. First up is Clannad and I’m completely enamored with the series. I’ve just gotten episode 9 and I’m waiting for my first alone time to sit and finish the first, I guess you could call it arc, of the story. This show alternately makes me laugh and cry and finally, a damn harem hero who isn’t a whiney or pathetic loser. I really like the main male character a great deal.
Next I watched the first 8 episodes of Dragonaut: The Resonance. I personally love Big Boobs, Bigger Mech style anime so I’m thoroughly hooked on this cracktastic little show. Though seriously I wish my emo tears caused songs of awesome that could be heard FROM THE MOON. ‘Nuff Said.
Finally, I finished my viewing with the first 7 episodes of Ef – A Tale of Memories. I really love the stylistic choices that are being made in how the anime looks, the cut away scenes, the camera angles and the pacing, but I don’t like most of the characters. My favorites are Chihiro and Renji, everyone else alternately annoy or bore me. I love most of the secondary characters though, and Kyousuke interests me. I’m definitely interested in finishing the series and seeing how it all ends.
