Ef – A Tale of Memories just keeps breaking my heart every time there’s a new episode. At least this latest episode (11) didn’t have the *really* sad ending, but the ending it did have was even sadder. It took me a couple of minutes to stop crying.
There have been a lot of visual novel adaptations this season and many of those have broken away from the harem aspect (myself; yourself, Prism Ark, Kimikiss Pure Rouge) while some have hung on to the harem formula (Clannad, Goshuushou-san Ninomiya-kun), but I have to say Ef really is one of the better ones IMHO. My other big fave being Clannad from the above list.
If the anime can make you cry and laugh and anticipate each new episode, it’s a good one, irregardless of whether or not the majority of other viewers agrees with you or not.
This is a true thing.
