Okay, some anime’s have soundtracks that are practically characters in their own right. Think the music in Cowboy Bebop, and then you have Meine Liebe.
Where the music is a bit boring, though appropriate to the time period the anime is set in, except that it is used in violently inappropriate ways.
Seriously, Hey I’ve done horrible things to someone you love should not be counterpointed with lilting flutes. Or playing music like you’re welcoming a king maybe not so appropriate to the scene where you’ve just made some lady cry because you’re an asshat.
